First day and I'm thankful. More on that later, I'm sure. I'm big into rhetoric and rhetorical devices and colorful language and usage and wordy shit. I figure I'll dig into a bit of that here. My mother once bought me a special-edition copy of The Elements of Style. Not feeling terribly stylish; should probably check it out again.  Anyhow, my point is ... my English degree isn't doing much these days. Lol. It's blog time for Miss Emily, and she's gonna talk about how we talk about things. And how we drive our points home - with gestures, facial expressions, etc. And maybe she'll go off on a tangent about something (as she is wont to do) and that'll be fine too.

Clutter

I love thrifting (as evidenced by my short-lived blog) but this habit leads to a bit of clutter after a while. There are some tchotchkes I'll never part with but I certainly have some flotsam I could stand to part with.  Knick-knacks Amateur paintings Craft supplies Books Recipes Clothes Shoes Aside from the physical things, I could stand to part with digital assets. Memes, snippets of writing ideas, old files, Chrome tabs (on a regular basis), whatever.  But how to turn this mission into something worth writing about?
